Just as the water drunk from the great fire of the great forest, on being carried by the wind to the Himalayas, takes the form of snow, and then on coming in contact with the rays of the sun, it becomes water again, similarly, O Lord, this entire universe, after being destroyed by you [in the form of Rudra], remains under your control [the Supreme Lord] alone, and then in each kalpa, when you [in the form of Hiranyagarbha] engage in the creation of the universe, it becomes the gross universe [in its gigantic form].
