श्री पराशर बोले, 'हे मैत्रेय! महाबली कंस ने जरासंध की पुत्रियों अस्ति और प्राप्ति से विवाह किया था। अतः उस अत्यंत शक्तिशाली मगध नरेश ने क्रोधित होकर अपनी पुत्रियों के स्वामी कंस के हत्यारे श्री हरि को यादवों सहित मार डालने के उद्देश्य से विशाल सेना लेकर मथुरा पर आक्रमण कर दिया।
Shri Parashara said, 'O Maitreya! The mighty Kansa had married Jarasandha's daughters Asti and Prapti. Therefore, the extremely powerful Magadh king, in anger, attacked Mathura with a huge army with the intention of killing Shri Hari, the killer of Kansa, the lord of his daughters, along with the Yadavas.
