हे महर्षि! सगर ने भृगुवंशी महात्मा और्व को प्रणाम करके उनसे भगवान विष्णु की पूजा विधि तथा उनकी पूजा से मनुष्य को होने वाले लाभ के विषय में पूछा। और्व ने जो कुछ कहा, उसे ध्यानपूर्वक सुनो।॥ 4-5॥
O great sage! Sagara bowed to the great soul Aurva of the Bhrigu lineage and asked him about the ways of worshipping Lord Vishnu and the benefits that a man gets by worshipping Vishnu. Listen to whatever Aurva told him carefully.॥ 4-5॥
