श्री पाराशर जी बोले- हे महामुनि! व्यास जी के शिष्य वैशम्पायन ने यजुर्वेद रूपी वृक्ष की सत्ताईस शाखाओं की रचना करके अपने शिष्यों को उपदेश दिया और शिष्यों ने भी उन्हें क्रमशः ग्रहण किया। 1-2.
