ब्राह्मणान्भोजयेच्छ्राद्धे यद्गुणांस्तान्निबोधमे॥ १॥
त्रिणाचिकेतस्त्रिमधुस्त्रिसुपर्णष्षडङ्गवित्।
वेदविच्छ्रोत्रियो योगी तथा वै ज्येष्ठसामग:॥ २॥
ऋत्विक्स्वस्रेयदौहित्रजामातृश्वशुरास्तथा।
मातुलोऽथ तपोनिष्ठ: पञ्चाग्न्यभिरतस्तथा।
शिष्यास्सम्बन्धिनश्चैव मातापितृरतश्च य:॥ ३॥
एतान्नियोजयेच्छ्राद्धे पूर्वोक्तान्प्रथमे नृप।
ब्राह्मणान्पितृतुष्टॺर्थमनुकल्पेष्वनन्तरान्॥ ४॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | और्व बोला - हे राजन! सुनो, मैं तुम्हें बताता हूँ कि श्राद्धकाल में किस प्रकार पुण्यात्मा ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराना चाहिए। तृणाचिकेत 1, त्रिमधु 2, त्रिसुपर्ण 3, छहों वेदों के ज्ञाता, वेदज्ञ, श्रोत्रिय, योगी और ज्येष्ठ समागम तथा ऋत्विक, भतीजे, पुत्रवधू, दामाद, ससुर, मामा, तपस्वी, पंचाग्नि जलाने वाले, शिष्य, सम्बन्धी और माता-पिता के प्रेमी - इन ब्राह्मणों को श्राद्धकर्म में नियुक्त करना चाहिए। इनमें से [तृणाचिकेत आदि] पूर्व में बताए गए ब्राह्मणों को पूर्वकाल में नियुक्त करना चाहिए और बाद में बताए गए [ऋत्विक आदि] ब्राह्मणों को भविष्य में पितरों की तृप्ति के लिए भोजन कराना चाहिए। 1-4॥ | | | | Aurav said – O king!
