नोर्ध्वं न तिर्यग्दूरं वा न पश्यन्पर्यटेद् बुध:।
युगमात्रं महीपृष्ठं नरो गच्छेद्विलोकयन्॥ ३९॥ |

| बुद्धिमान पुरुष को चाहिए कि वह ऊपर, इधर-उधर या दूर की वस्तुओं को देखकर न चले; उसे चार हाथ की दूरी तक केवल पृथ्वी को ही देखता हुआ चलना चाहिए ॥39॥ |
