तदा वृत्रवधं सर्वमखिलेन स लक्ष्मण:।
कथयित्वा नरश्रेष्ठ: कथाशेषं प्रचक्रमे॥ १॥
अनुवाद
उस समय वृत्रासुर के वध का सम्पूर्ण वृत्तांत सुनाकर पुरुषोत्तम लक्ष्मण शेष कथा इस प्रकार कहने लगे-॥1॥
At that time, after narrating the entire story of the killing of Vritrasura, the best of men, Lakshmana, started telling the rest of the story in this way -॥ 1॥
