"हम राजा के बिना नहीं रहेंगे। यह हमारा दृढ़ निश्चय है।" तब देवताओं में श्रेष्ठ ब्रह्माजी ने इन्द्र आदि समस्त लोकपालकों को बुलाकर कहा, "आप सब लोग अपने तेज का एक-एक अंश दीजिए।" तब समस्त लोकपालकों ने अपने तेज का एक-एक अंश अर्पित किया ॥40-41॥
"We will not live without a king. This is our firm resolve." Then the greatest of the gods, Brahma, called all the protectors of the world including Indra and said, "All of you give a part of your brilliance." Then all the protectors of the world offered a part of their brilliance. ॥ 40-41॥
