लक्ष्मण को शोक से आकुल देखकर धर्म जानने वाली सीता अत्यन्त चिन्तित होकर उनसे बोलीं- 'लक्ष्मण! यह क्या है? तुम क्यों रो रहे हो? गंगा तट पर आकर मेरी चिरकाल की अभिलाषा पूर्ण हो गई है। इस हर्ष के समय तुम रो-रोकर मुझे क्यों दुःखी कर रहे हो?॥ 25-26॥
Seeing Lakshmana overwhelmed with grief, Sita, who knew Dharma, became very worried and said to him- 'Laxmana! What is this? Why are you crying? By coming to the banks of the Ganga, my long-standing desire has been fulfilled. Why are you making me sad by crying at this time of joy?॥ 25-26॥
