किमर्थं वाली चैतेन सुग्रीवप्रियकाम्यया।
तदा वैरे समुत्पन्ने न दग्धो वीरुधो यथा॥ ११॥
अनुवाद
जब वालि और सुग्रीव में युद्ध हुआ, तब सुग्रीव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए उन्होंने वालि को उसी प्रकार क्यों नहीं जलाकर भस्म कर दिया, जैसे दावानल वृक्ष को जला देती है? यह समझ में नहीं आता॥11॥
When there was a conflict between Vali and Sugreeva, why did he not burn Vali to ashes, just as a forest fire burns a tree, in order to please Sugreeva? This is not understandable.॥ 11॥
