एवं चेदुपसर्पेतामनयं रामलक्ष्मणौ।
अवश्यमपनीतेन जहतामेव जीवितम्॥ १८॥
अनुवाद
यदि हमारी बात सुनकर राम और लक्ष्मण दोनों भाई सेना को वहाँ से चले जाने की आज्ञा देंगे, तो उन्हें हमारे अन्याय का शिकार होना पड़ेगा; हमारे छल से पीड़ित होकर उन्हें अपने प्राण त्यागने पड़ेंगे॥18॥
‘If, after listening to us, the two brothers Rama and Lakshmana give the order to the army to march and leave that place, then they will have to become the victims of our injustice; they will have to give up their lives after suffering from our treachery.॥ 18॥
