वास्तव में लंकापुरी पर घेरा डालने का मुख्य कारण राम और लक्ष्मण ही हैं। अतः मैं युद्ध में सबसे पहले उनका ही वध करूँगा। उनके मारे जाने पर समस्त वानर सेना स्वतः ही मृतप्राय हो जाएगी।॥ 45॥
‘In fact, the main reason for laying siege to Lankapuri is Rama along with Lakshmana. Therefore, I will kill them first in the battle. When they are killed, the entire monkey army will automatically become as if it is dead.'॥ 45॥
