श्री राम के ये वचन सुनकर महाबली राक्षसराज रावण अत्यन्त क्रोध से भर गया। उसे पूर्व वैर का स्मरण हो आया और उसने काली अग्नि की ज्वाला के समान तेजस्वी बाणों द्वारा युद्धस्थल में श्री रघुनाथजी के वाहन वायुपुत्र हनुमानजी को अत्यन्त घायल कर दिया।
On hearing these words of Shri Ram, the mighty demon king Ravana was filled with great anger. He remembered the previous enmity and with his arrows as radiant as the flame of black fire, he severely injured Hanuman, the son of Vayu, who was the vehicle of Shri Raghunath, on the battlefield.
