स शक्तिमाञ्शक्तिसमाहत: सन्
जज्वाल भूमौ स रघुप्रवीर:।
तं विह्वलन्तं सहसाभ्युपेत्य
जग्राह राजा तरसा भुजाभ्याम्॥ ११०॥
अनुवाद
यद्यपि रघुकुल के अधिपति वीर लक्ष्मण अत्यन्त बलशाली थे, फिर भी वे उस बल से आहत होकर भूमि पर गिर पड़े और जलने लगे। उन्हें व्याकुल देखकर राजा रावण सहसा उनके पास दौड़ा और उन्हें दोनों भुजाओं से उठाने लगा॥110॥
Though the chief of the Raghukul, the valiant Lakshmana, was very powerful, he was struck by that power and fell to the ground and began to burn. Seeing him in a state of distress, King Ravana suddenly rushed to him and began to lift him with both his arms.॥110॥
