जो विशाल वानर आकाश में मेघ के समान खड़ा है और देवताओं में इन्द्र के समान प्रतीत होता है, जिसकी गम्भीर गर्जना युद्ध के इच्छुक वानर योद्धाओं के बीच ऐसी सुनाई देती है मानो बहुत से मिमिया रहे हों और जो युद्ध में असह्य है, वह 'पनस' नाम से प्रसिद्ध यूथपति है। यह पनस पारियात्र पर्वत पर रहता है। सभी यूथपतियों में श्रेष्ठ, पनस की सेवा में पचास लाख यूथपति रहते हैं, जिनके अपने-अपने यूथपति होते हैं॥ 37-40॥
The huge monkey who stands like a cloud encircling the sky and appears as if he is Indra amongst the gods, whose deep roar can be heard amongst the monkey warriors desirous of war as if many bleats are making a loud noise and who is unbearable in war, is the famous Yuthapati by the name of 'Panas'. This Panas lives on the Pariyatra mountain. Fifty lakh Yuthapatis live in the service of Panas, the best amongst all the Yuthapatis, who have their own Yuthapatis.॥ 37-40॥
