संधाय धनुषा राम: शरमाशीविषोपमम्॥ ५३॥
रावणस्य शिरोऽच्छिन्दच्छ्रीमज्ज्वलितकुण्डलम्।
तच्छिर: पतितं भूमौ दृष्टं लोकैस्त्रिभिस्तदा॥ ५४॥ |

| तत्पश्चात् रघुकुल की कीर्ति बढ़ाने वाले महाबाहु श्री रामचन्द्रजी ने क्रोधित होकर अपने धनुष पर विषधर सर्प के समान बाण चढ़ाकर रावण का चमकते हुए कुण्डलों से विभूषित सुन्दर मस्तक काट डाला। उसका कटा हुआ मस्तक उसी समय पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़ा, जिसे तीनों लोकों के प्राणियों ने देखा। |
