श्रुत्वा हनूमतो वाक्यं हरीणां प्रवरोऽङ्गद:॥ २॥
प्रत्युवाच प्रसन्नात्मा पिबन्तु हरयो मधु।
अवश्यं कृतकार्यस्य वाक्यं हनुमतो मया॥ ३॥
अकार्यमपि कर्तव्यं किमङ्गं पुनरीदृशम्। |

| हनुमानजी के वचन सुनकर वानरराज अंगद भी प्रसन्नतापूर्वक बोले, "वानर अपनी इच्छानुसार मधुपान कर सकते हैं। हनुमानजी अब अपना कार्य पूरा करके लौट आए हैं। अतः यदि मैं उनकी बात मानने में समर्थ न भी होऊँ, तो भी मुझे माननी ही पड़ेगी। फिर ऐसी बात कहने में क्या रखा है?"॥ 2-3 1/2॥ |
