रावण के वचन अनेक दोषों से युक्त और पाप के मूल थे। वे महापुरुषों के योग्य नहीं थे। उन्हें सुनकर बुद्धिमानों में श्रेष्ठ विभीषण ने उत्तम कर्तव्य का निर्णय करने में सहायक कुछ कहा-॥12॥
Ravana's words were full of many flaws and were the root of sin. They were not worthy of great men. On hearing them, Vibhishana, the best among the wise, said something that would help in deciding the best duty -॥12॥
