कोपाद् वा यदि वा मोहाद् भर्तारमसितेक्षणे।
वसिष्ठं कोपयित्वा त्वं वासि कल्याण्यरुन्धती॥ ८॥

अथवा हे काली आँखों वाली देवी! क्या आप धन और वैभव की देवी, शुभ अरुन्धती नहीं हैं, जो क्रोध या मोहवश अपने पति वसिष्ठ को क्रोधित करके यहाँ आई हैं?
Or, O goddess with black eyes! Are you not the auspicious Arundhati, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, who has come here after infuriating your husband Vasishtha out of anger or infatuation?
