स चिन्तयामास ततो महाकपि:
प्रियामपश्यन् रघुनन्दनस्य ताम्।
ध्रुवं न सीता ध्रियते यथा न मे
विचिन्वतो दर्शनमेति मैथिली॥ २॥
अनुवाद
जब रघुनन्दन श्री राम की प्रिय सीता वहाँ भी नहीं दिखीं, तब महाकपि हनुमान् इस प्रकार चिंता करने लगे - 'निश्चय ही मिथिला की पुत्री सीता अब जीवित नहीं हैं; इसीलिए बहुत खोजने पर भी वे मेरी दृष्टि में नहीं आ रही हैं॥ 2॥
When Sita, the beloved of Raghunandan Shri Ram, was not seen there either, then the great ape Hanuman began to worry thus - 'Certainly, Sita, the daughter of Mithila, is no longer alive; that is why she is not coming into my sight even after a lot of searching.॥ 2॥
