ऐसा मन में विचार करके उस राक्षसी ने हनुमानजी की छाया पकड़ ली। छाया पकड़ते ही वीर वानर हनुमानजी ने सोचा, 'अहा! मुझे अचानक किसने पकड़ लिया? इस पकड़ के आगे मेरा पराक्रम स्तब्ध हो गया है। जैसे प्रतिकूल वायु के आने पर समुद्र में जहाज की गति रुक जाती है, वही दशा आज मेरी हो गई है।'॥186-187 1/2॥
Thinking so in her heart, the demoness caught hold of Hanuman's shadow. On catching the shadow, the brave monkey Hanuman thought, 'Oh! Who has caught me suddenly? My valour has become paralysed in front of this grip. Just as the movement of a ship in the sea is obstructed when there is unfavourable wind, the same condition has befallen me today.'॥ 186-187 1/2॥
