वज्रस्य च निपातेन विरुजं त्वां समीक्ष्य च।
सहस्रनेत्र: प्रीतात्मा ददौ ते वरमुत्तमम्॥ २८॥
स्वच्छन्दतश्च मरणं तव स्यादिति वै प्रभो। |

| प्रभु! वज्र से आहत होने पर भी आपको अक्षुण्ण देखकर सहस्र नेत्रों वाले इन्द्र बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने आपको यह महान वर दिया - 'मृत्यु आपकी इच्छा पर निर्भर होगी - आप जब चाहें, तभी मर सकेंगे, अन्यथा नहीं।'॥28 1/2॥ |
