तत्र वास: सुखोऽस्माकं निरुद्विग्नो भविष्यति।
तत: पर्वतमासाद्य ऋष्यमूकं नृपात्मज॥ २३॥

अनुवाद
"अतः वहाँ हमारा निवास सुखमय एवं निर्भय होगा। राजकुमार! इस निर्णय के अनुसार हम ऋष्यमूक पर्वत पर आकर रहने लगे। उस समय मतंग ऋषि के भय से वालि ने वहाँ प्रवेश नहीं किया।
