मित्रं ह्यर्थगुणश्रेष्ठं सत्यधर्मपरायणम्।
तद्द्वयं तु परित्यक्तं न तु धर्मे व्यवस्थितम्॥ ४८॥ |

| मित्र दो प्रकार के होते हैं - एक तो अपने मित्र की सहायता के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं और दूसरे सत्य तथा धर्म पर आश्रित रहते हैं। तुम्हारे स्वामी ने मित्र के दोनों गुणों का परित्याग कर दिया है। वे न तो अपने मित्र की सहायता करते हैं और न स्वयं धर्म में स्थित हैं॥ 48॥ |
