धर्मलोपो महांस्तावत् कृते ह्यप्रतिकुर्वत:।
अर्थलोपश्च मित्रस्य नाशे गुणवतो महान्॥ ४७॥ |

| 'यदि अवसर आने पर भी मित्र द्वारा किया गया उपकार न चुकाया जाए, तो धर्म की हानि होती है। यदि गुणवान मित्र से मित्रता टूट जाए, तो धन की भी बड़ी हानि उठानी पड़ती है।' |
