पवनकुमार हनुमान शास्त्रों के निश्चित सिद्धांतों को जानते थे। उन्हें ठीक-ठीक पता था कि क्या करना चाहिए और क्या नहीं। उन्हें यह भी ठीक-ठीक पता था कि कब और किस धर्म का पालन करना चाहिए। वे बातचीत करने की कला भी अच्छी तरह जानते थे। उन्होंने देखा कि आकाश स्वच्छ हो गया है। अब उसमें न तो बिजली चमक रही थी और न ही बादल। आकाश में सर्वत्र सारस उड़ रहे थे और उनकी पुकार सुनाई दे रही थी। (जब चंद्रमा उदय हुआ) तो आकाश ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा था मानो उस पर श्वेत चंदन के समान सुंदर चांदनी छा गई हो। चूँकि सुग्रीव का उद्देश्य पूरा हो चुका था, इसलिए अब वह धर्म और अर्थ के संग्रह में शिथिलता बरतने लगा था। वह तपस्वी पुरुषों के मार्ग (यौन भोग) का अधिक आश्रय लेने लगा था। उसका मन केवल एकांत में ही शांत होता था (जहाँ स्त्रियों के संग में कोई बाधा नहीं थी)। उसका कार्य पूरा हो गया था। उसका अभीष्ट उद्देश्य सिद्ध हो गया था। अब वह सदैव युवतियों के साथ रमण में लगा रहता है। उसने अपनी सभी अभीष्ट कामनाएँ प्राप्त कर ली हैं। अपनी इच्छित पत्नी रूमा और इच्छित सुंदरी तारा को पाकर अब वह संतुष्ट और निश्चिंत होकर दिन-रात रमण में लगा रहता है। जिस प्रकार देवराज इन्द्र गन्धर्वों और अप्सराओं के साथ क्रीड़ा करने को तत्पर रहते हैं, उसी प्रकार सुग्रीव भी राज्य का भार अपने मंत्रियों पर डालकर क्रीड़ा करने को तत्पर रहते हैं। वे मंत्रियों के काम काज पर कभी ध्यान नहीं देते। यद्यपि मंत्रियों की सज्जनता से राज्य को किसी प्रकार की हानि होने की शंका नहीं है, तथापि सुग्रीव स्वयं स्वेच्छाचारी बन रहे हैं। यह सब सोचकर हनुमान जी वानरराज सुग्रीव के पास गए और उन्हें बुद्धिपूर्ण, विविध और मनोहर वचनों से प्रसन्न करके, वार्तालाप का सार समझने वाले सुग्रीव से हितकर वचनों से युक्त, सत्य, हितकर, शान्ति, धर्म और अर्थनीति से युक्त, शास्त्र-परायण पुरुषों के दृढ़ निश्चय से युक्त तथा प्रेम और प्रसन्नता से युक्त होकर बोले। 1—8 1/2॥
Pawankumar Hanuman knew the definite principles of the scriptures. He knew exactly what should be done and what should not be done. He also knew exactly when and which particular Dharma should be followed. He also knew the art of conversing well. He saw that the sky had become clear. Now neither lightning nor clouds were visible in it. The cranes were flying everywhere in the sky and their call could be heard. (When the moon rose) the sky looked as if it had been coated with the beautiful moonlight like white sandalwood. Since Sugreeva's purpose had been fulfilled, he had now started showing laxity in collecting Dharma and Artha. He was taking more refuge in the path of ascetic men (sexual indulgence). His mind was at peace only in solitude (where there was no hindrance in the company of women). His work was completed. His desired purpose had been accomplished. Now he is always engaged in frolic with young women. He has achieved all his desired desires. Having got his desired wife Ruma and the desired beautiful Tara, he is now engaged in frolic day and night, satisfied and carefree. Just as Devraj Indra is ready to play with the Gandharvas and Apsaras, in the same way Sugreev is also ready to play by putting the responsibility of the state on his ministers. He never looks after the work of the ministers. Although there is no doubt of any harm to the state due to the gentlemanliness of the ministers, yet Sugreev himself is becoming arbitrary. Thinking all this, Hanuman ji went to the monkey king Sugriva and after pleasing him with wise, diverse and charming words, he spoke to Sugriva, who understood the essence of the conversation, with beneficial words, full of truth, beneficial, peace, religion and economic policy, full of strong determination of scripture-believing men and full of love and happiness. 1—8 1/2॥
