जानास्यनियतामेवं भूतानामागतिं गतिम्।
तस्माच्छुभं हि कर्तव्यं पण्डिते नेह लौकिकम्॥ ५॥ |

| देवि! आप विदुषी हैं, अतः आप जानती हैं कि जीवों के जन्म और मृत्यु का कोई निश्चित समय नहीं है। अतः शुभ (परलोक के लिए सुखद) कर्म ही करने चाहिए। अत्यधिक रोना-धोना आदि सांसारिक कर्म (आचरण) नहीं करने चाहिए॥ 5॥ |

| Devi! You are a learned lady, hence you know that there is no fixed time for the birth and death of living beings. Therefore, one should only perform auspicious (pleasant for the next world) deeds. One should not perform worldly deeds (behaviour) such as crying and wailing too much.॥ 5॥ |
