तां विनाथ विहङ्गोऽसौ पक्षी प्रणदितस्तदा।

अनुवाद
‘जब सीता मेरे साथ थीं, तब आकाश में कौआ काँव-काँव करता था, जो उनके भावी वियोग का सूचक था। अब सीता के वियोग के समय वह कौआ वृक्ष पर बैठा हुआ बड़े हर्ष से अपनी ही वाणी में काँव-काँव कर रहा है (इससे यह संकेत मिलता है कि सीता का मुझसे शीघ्र ही पुनर्मिलन होगा)॥ 55॥
‘When Sita was with me, the crow used to caw in the sky, which was indicative of her future separation. Now, at the time of Sita's separation, that crow is sitting on a tree and is croaking in its own voice with great joy (this indicates that Sita will be reunited with me very soon).॥ 55॥
