पश्य लक्ष्मण पुष्पाणि निष्फलानि भवन्ति मे।
पुष्पभारसमृद्धानां वनानां शिशिरात्यये॥ ४४॥ |

| लक्ष्मण! इस वसन्त ऋतु में इन पुष्पों से लदे हुए वनों के ये सभी पुष्प मेरे लिए निष्फल हो रहे हैं। चूँकि मेरी प्रिय सीता यहाँ नहीं हैं, इसलिए ये मेरे किसी काम के नहीं हैं॥ 44॥ |
