गिद्धराज जटायु की आँखें लाल हो रही थीं। प्राण निकल जाने पर वे पर्वत के समान निश्चल हो गए। उन्हें इस अवस्था में देखकर अनेक दुःखों से दुःखी हुए भगवान राम ने सुमित्रापुत्र से कहा-॥19॥
The eyes of the vulture king Jatayu were looking red. After his life had left his body, he became as still as a mountain. Seeing him in this state, Lord Rama, who was saddened by many sorrows, said to Sumitra's son -॥19॥
