जैसे कुआँ तिनकों से ढका रहता है, वैसे ही रावण अपने भव्य रूप के नीचे अपनी कुरूपता को छिपाए हुए अचानक वहाँ पहुँचा और राम की तेजस्वी पत्नी वैदेही को देखकर वहीं खड़ा हो गया॥ 10॥
Just as a well is covered with straws, similarly Ravana, concealing his ugliness under his magnificent form, suddenly reached there and stood there after seeing the glorious wife of Rama, Vaidehi.॥ 10॥
