‘जैसे अगस्त्यजी ने वातापि का नाश किया था, वैसे ही यह मारीच भी अवश्य मेरे सामने आकर मारा जाएगा। तुम अस्त्र-शस्त्र आदि से सुसज्जित होकर यहाँ मिथिला की पुत्री की सावधानी से रक्षा करो॥ 46॥
‘Just as Vaataapi was destroyed by Agastya, similarly this Maricha will surely come in front of me and be killed. You equip yourself with weapons and armour etc. and carefully protect the daughter of Mithila here.॥ 46॥
