क्वचिन्मणिनिकाशोदां क्वचित् पुलिनशालिनीम्।
क्वचित् सिद्धजनाकीर्णां पश्य मन्दाकिनीं नदीम्॥ ९॥ |

| 'देखो! मन्दाकिनी नदी की कैसी शोभा है; कहीं उसका जल मोतियों के समान निर्मल बह रहा है, कहीं वह केवल ऊँचे तटों के कारण ही सुन्दर प्रतीत होती है (वहाँ का जल किनारों के पीछे छिपे होने के कारण दिखाई नहीं देता) और कहीं सिद्ध पुरुष उसमें डुबकी लगा रहे हैं और वह उनसे व्याप्त प्रतीत होती है॥9॥ |

What a beauty the Mandakini river has; somewhere it has water flowing as clear as pearls, somewhere it looks beautiful only because of its high banks (the water there is not visible because it is hidden behind the banks) and somewhere Siddhas (enlightened souls) are taking a dip in it and it appears to be pervaded by them.॥ 9॥ |
