‘इस समय अयोध्या की चारदीवारी की चारों ओर से रक्षा का कोई प्रबंध नहीं है, हाथी-घोड़े बंधे हुए नहीं हैं - वे स्वतन्त्रतापूर्वक विचरण कर रहे हैं, नगर के द्वार खुले पड़े हैं, सम्पूर्ण राजधानी असुरक्षित है, सेना में हर्ष और उत्साह का अभाव है, सम्पूर्ण नगर रक्षकों से सूना प्रतीत हो रहा है, संकटग्रस्त है, रक्षकों के अभाव से आवरणहीन हो गया है, फिर भी शत्रु इसे विषमिश्रित भोजन के समान ग्रहण नहीं करना चाहते। केवल श्री रामजी के बल से ही इसकी रक्षा हो रही है।॥ 24-25॥
‘At this time there is no arrangement for the protection of the boundary walls of Ayodhya from all sides, the elephants and horses are not tied – they roam around freely, the gate of the city remains open, the entire capital is unprotected, there is lack of joy and enthusiasm in the army, the entire city seems to be deserted of defenders, it is in danger, it has become coverless due to lack of defenders, yet the enemies do not wish to accept it like food mixed with poison. It is being protected only by the strength of Shri Ram.॥ 24-25॥
