| उस समय कैकेयी के पुत्र भरत दुःख के विशाल पर्वत से पीड़ित थे। श्री रामचन्द्र का ध्यान छिद्ररहित शिलाओं का समूह था। दुःखमय उच्छ्वास केसर आदि धातुओं का स्थान ले रहा था। दुर्बलता (इन्द्रियों का अपने विषयों से विमुख होना) वृक्षों के समूहों के रूप में प्रकट हुई। दुःख से उत्पन्न चेष्टाएँ उस दुःख रूपी पर्वत के ऊँचे शिखर थे। अत्यधिक आसक्ति उसमें स्थित अनन्त जीव थे। भीतर और बाहर इन्द्रियों में जो वेदना थी, वह उस पर्वत की औषधियाँ और बाँस के वृक्ष थे। |

| At that time, Bharat, son of Kaikeyi, was afflicted by a huge mountain of sorrow. The meditation of Shri Ramchandra was a group of rocks without holes in it. The sorrowful sigh was taking the place of metals like saffron etc. Weakness (the turning away of the senses from their objects) appeared in the form of groups of trees. The efforts born out of grief were the high peaks of that mountain of sorrow. Extreme attachment was the infinite creatures in it. The anguish in the senses inside and outside were the medicines and bamboo trees of that mountain. |
