ऐलधाने नदीं तीर्त्वा प्राप्य चापरपर्वतान्।
शिलामाकुर्वतीं तीर्त्वा आग्नेयं शल्यकर्षणम्॥ ३॥ |

| वहाँ से वे ऐलधन नामक ग्राम में गए और वहाँ बहने वाली नदी को पार किया। तत्पश्चात् वे अपरपर्वत नामक जनपद में गए। वहाँ शिला नामक एक नदी बहती थी, जो अपने में गिरने वाली किसी भी वस्तु को पत्थर बना देती थी। उसे पार करके भरत वहाँ से दक्षिण-पूर्व कोने में स्थित शल्याकर्षण नामक देश में गए, जहाँ एक औषधि उपलब्ध थी जो शरीर से काँटों को निकालने में सहायक थी।॥3॥ |

| From there he went to a village called Aildhan and crossed the river flowing there. After that he went to a district called Aparparvat. There flowed a river called Shila, which turned anything that fell inside it into stone. After crossing it Bharata went from there to a country called Shalyakarshan situated in the south-east corner, where a medicine was available which helped in removing thorns from the body.॥ 3॥ |
