उद्यानानि हि सायाह्ने क्रीडित्वोपरतैर्नरै:॥ २२॥
समन्ताद् विप्रधावद्भि: प्रकाशन्ते ममान्यथा।
तान्यद्यानुरुदन्तीव परित्यक्तानि कामिभि:॥ २३॥ |

| ‘सायंकाल के समय लोग बागों में आकर खेलते थे और खेल समाप्त होने पर चारों ओर से अपने-अपने घरों की ओर दौड़ पड़ते थे, इसलिए उस समय ये बाग बड़े सुन्दर लगते थे, परन्तु आज मुझे वे भिन्न प्रतीत होते हैं। आज वही बाग कामातुर मनुष्यों द्वारा त्याग दिए जाने पर रोते हुए प्रतीत होते हैं॥ 22-23॥ |

| ‘In the evening people used to enter the gardens and play there and after finishing the play they used to run towards their homes from all sides, hence at that time these gardens used to be very beautiful, but today they look different to me.
