वे यात्रा की तैयारी के लिए सबसे पहले अपने निवास स्थान पर गए। फिर वहाँ से निकलकर वे मनुष्यों, हाथियों और घोड़ों से भरे हुए उत्तम राजमार्ग पर गए। उस समय भरतजी ने बहुत-सा धन संचित कर लिया था।
