'यह वन-भाग बड़ा सुन्दर है, यहाँ पुष्पों की वर्षा हो रही है और सारी भूमि पुष्पों से आच्छादित प्रतीत हो रही है। इस वन-प्रदेश में यह चातक 'पी कहाँ' 'पी कहाँ' कह रहा है। दूसरी ओर वह मोर ऐसे बोल रहा है मानो कोयल की बातों का उत्तर दे रहा हो।॥9॥
‘This part of the forest is very beautiful, it is raining flowers here and the whole land appears to be covered with flowers. In this forest region, this Chatak is chanting ‘pee kahaan’ ‘pee kahaan’. On the other side, that peacock is speaking as if he is answering the cuckoo's words.॥ 9॥
