दशरथ पुत्र भगवान राम ने अपनी प्रियतमा सीता को, जो थोड़ी लज्जित थीं और देवी लक्ष्मी के समान अकल्पनीय शोभा पा रही थीं, नाव पर बिठाया और उनके वस्त्र-आभूषण उनके पास रख दिए। फिर भगवान राम ने बड़ी सावधानी से कुदाल और बकरे की खाल से ढका बक्सा नाव पर रख दिया।
Lord Rama, the son of Dasharatha, placed his beloved Sita, who was feeling a little embarrassed and had unimaginable splendour like Goddess Lakshmi, on the raft and placed her clothes and ornaments beside her. Then Lord Rama very carefully placed the hoe and the box covered with goat's skin on the raft.
