(उन्होंने कहा,) 'जिस प्रकार वह नदी अनाकर्षक हो जाती है, जिसके गहरे कुंड से गरुड़ द्वारा सर्प को निकाल लिया जाता है, उसी प्रकार श्री राम से रहित यह अयोध्या नगरी अब अधिक सुन्दर नहीं लगती।'
(He said,) 'Just as a river becomes unattractive from whose deep pool the serpent has been taken out by Garuda, similarly this city of Ayodhya, devoid of Shri Ram, does not look very beautiful any more.'
