जैसे कोई व्यक्ति जानबूझकर ब्राह्मण को मार डालता है या जलती हुई अग्नि को हाथ से छू लेता है और ऐसा करने से दुःखी रहता है, वैसे ही धर्मात्मा राजा दशरथ भगवान राम के स्मरण से दुःखी हो रहे थे, जो उनके वरदान के कारण वन में चले गए थे॥11॥
Just as someone willingly and intentionally kills a Brahmin or touches a burning fire with his hand and remains tormented by doing so, similarly the righteous king Dasharatha was becoming tormented by thinking of Lord Rama who had gone to the forest due to a boon given by him.॥ 11॥
