उस समय श्रीराम ने सुमन्तराम से कहा, "यहाँ अधिक देर तक रुकने से मुझे और पिता को न केवल दुःख होगा, अपितु महान् दुःख होगा; अतः तुम रथ को आगे बढ़ाओ। यदि महाराज लौटकर तुम्हें डाँटें, तो उनसे कह देना कि मैंने तुम्हारी बात नहीं मानी।"
At that time Shri Ram said to Sumantram, 'Delaying here for long will not only cause sorrow but great sorrow for me and father; therefore, move the chariot forward. If Maharaja rebukes you on your return, then tell him that I did not listen to you.'
