तत् समाकुलसम्भ्रान्तं मत्तसंकुपितद्विपम्।
हयसिञ्जितनिर्घोषं पुरमासीन्महास्वनम्॥ १९॥ |

| उस समय सम्पूर्ण अयोध्या में बड़ा कोलाहल मच गया। सब लोग व्याकुल और भयभीत हो गए। मतवाले हाथी श्री राम के वियोग में व्याकुल हो गए और घोड़ों की हिनहिनाहट और उनके आभूषणों की झनकार से वे इधर-उधर भागने लगे।॥19॥ |

| At that time, a great uproar broke out in the whole of Ayodhya. Everyone was distraught and frightened. The drunken elephants became enraged at the separation from Shri Ram and the neighing of the horses and the tinkling of their ornaments echoed everywhere as they ran here and there.॥19॥ |
