'श्रेष्ठ राजा! जिस प्रकार मदिरा पीने वाले लोग उस स्वादहीन मदिरा को स्वीकार नहीं करते जिसका सार पहले ही पी लिया गया हो, उसी प्रकार भरत भी इस निर्जन और दरिद्र राज्य को कभी स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे, जो कभी भी पीने योग्य नहीं होगा।'॥12॥
'Excellent King! Just as those who consume liquor do not accept the tasteless liquor whose essence has already been drunk, similarly Bharata will never accept this desolate and poor kingdom, which will never be fit for consumption.'॥ 12॥
