तेषामञ्जलिपद्मानि प्रगृहीतानि सर्वश:।
प्रतिगृह्याब्रवीद् राजा तेभ्य: प्रियहितं वच:॥ १॥

सभा के सदस्यों ने अपने कमल के समान हाथ सिर पर रखकर महाराज के प्रस्ताव का सब प्रकार से समर्थन किया। उनके कमल के समान प्रसाद ग्रहण करके राजा दशरथ ने उनसे अत्यंत सुखद एवं हितकारी वचन कहे-॥1॥
The members of the assembly supported the Maharaja's proposal in every way, placing their hands, which were shaped like lotus flowers, on their heads. After accepting their lotus-like offerings, King Dasaratha spoke the most pleasant and beneficial words to them -॥1॥
