अतिसृज्य ददानीति वरं मम विशाम्पति:।
स निरर्थं गतजले सेतुं बन्धितुमिच्छति॥ २३॥ |

| 'इस प्रजानाथ ने मुझे 'मैं दूँगा' कहकर पहले ही वरदान दे दिया है और अब उसे रोकने का व्यर्थ प्रयत्न कर रहा है। जब जल बह गया है, तब उसे रोकने के लिए बाँध बनाने का व्यर्थ प्रयत्न कर रहा है।॥23॥ |
