कौसल्या मां च रामं च पुत्रौ च यदि हास्यति।
दु:खान्यसहती देवी मामेवानुगमिष्यति॥ ८९॥
अनुवाद
‘यदि देवी कौशल्या मुझसे, श्री राम से तथा अन्य दो पुत्रों लक्ष्मण और शत्रुघ्न से वियोग हो जाएँगी, तो वे इतना महान दुःख सहन नहीं कर सकेंगी; अतः मेरे बाद उनकी भी मृत्यु हो जाएगी। (सुमित्रा की भी यही दशा होगी)॥89॥
‘If Goddess Kausalya is separated from me, Shri Ram and the other two sons Lakshmana and Shatrughna, she will not be able to bear such a great sorrow; hence she will also die after me. (The same will happen to Sumitra also)॥ 89॥
