हे दुष्ट कैकेयी! हे अर्थ को मिथ्या समझने वाली! मुझे कष्ट देने के लिए ही तू इस घर में आई है। हे! मेरे कारण तू अपना क्या अनिष्ट देखती है? अथवा जो श्री राम सदैव सबका कल्याण करते रहते हैं, उनमें तू कौन-सी बुराई देखती है?॥101॥
'O cruel Kaikeyi, who has a wrong view of the meaning of things! You have been brought to this house only to torment me. Oh! What misfortune do you see happening to you because of me? Or what evil do you see in Shri Ram, who is always doing good to everyone?॥ 101॥
