क्षीणपानोत्तमैर्भग्नै: शरावैरभिसंवृताम्।

| (उन दिनों अयोध्या की सड़कें न तो बुहारी गई थीं और न ही साफ की गई थीं, इसलिए कूड़े-कचरे के ढेर इधर-उधर पड़े हुए थे। उस समय) वह नगरी उस निर्जन मधुशाला के समान वीरान दिखाई दे रही थी, जिसकी सफाई न की गई हो, जहाँ मदिरा से भरे हुए टूटे हुए प्याले पड़े हों और जहाँ पीने वाले भी मर गए हों॥ 14॥ |
